I have many ups and downs with dating men. Why is it when you have been together with someone for a while things change? You no longer sit on the sofa together watching a film and having a cuddle. Sex is no longer exciting and different, it's more like a chore, and instead of holding each other after you roll over and go to sleep, yet every time you start a new relationship you think it will be different.

I would not consider myself the expert at dating men but after speaking to many different women they all said pretty much the same. I am a very passionate person and like to express myself in many different ways. I do believe that there is a soul mate out there for everyone of us and those who are lucky enough to find their soul mates will never feel the need to look at another male/female again.

Fortunately for me I found my soul mate when I was dating. It was love at first sight for both of us and we have been very happy the whole 16 years we have been together. He is soft and gentle and treats me with the greatest of respect. We are still very much in love and will still cuddle on the sofa together watching a film and holding each others hand going for long walks on the beach.

Many of my friends are still dating men. One of my friends have recently joined a website to try and find her soul mate. Dating has changed so much now. There was no such thing as a dating website when I was dating men. It's funny how when we are younger we go straight up to whom ever we fancy and ask them out,yet when we get older we have so many things holding us back and worries that prevent us from just asking.

There is also a lot of pressure on us, from an early age regarding relationships. WhenI was younger I was always being asked by elders if I had a boyfriend. Why do older people ask that? Do they want us to be dating from an early age? Is that what life is all about? Find a partner, settle down, have children and then spend then next 18 years meddling in their love life. Dating should be fun, you should be able to experience life how you want to before settling down or searching for love.
